Sunday Express takes LaingBuisson fees survey to spotlight lack of funding
Writing in the Sunday Express today, Lucy Johnstone uses findings published in the latest edition of the LaingBuisson’s Care Market’s Annual Survey of UK Local Authority Usual Costs to discuss the impact of reduced social care funding on people living with dementia.
Extrapolating that councils are spending as little as £1.78 per hour on dementia care residents living in care, the publication also features an open letter published on behalf of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) which repeats the organisation’s recent message about a system at toppling point.
