Jon is responsible for organising, planning and managing the operations of the consumer healthcare business with the goal of maximising profitability. In his previous role, Jon was the driving force behind LaingBuisson’s flagship consumer brand, GoPrivate.com, and has over 20 years’ experience of digital marketing and development in range of sectors.

Director of Research & Content
Tim Read is the Director of Research & Content at LaingBuisson. Previously, he was Managing Director of Marwood Group, a health, social care and life sciences consultancy specialising in policy, regulation and reimbursement for national and international clients, and was responsible for the delivery of over 80 M&A and strategic engagements in UK and Europe covering the spectrum of health, adults and children’s social care and life sciences & social care providers.
Tim has over 15 years of health and social care experience across the public and private sectors. This includes writing Laing Buisson’s Children Services market report, setting up a Specialist Care Conference, working for CQC to develop their strategic priorities and deliver a national thematic report on mental health crisis care, working in local government to create innovative health inequality strategies, and acting as a Visiting Fellow at the Health Experiences Institute, University of Oxford to explore how the user experience could drive improvements in care quality.
JADE CUMMINGS
Head of Events
Jade is Head of Events for LaingBuisson. Jade has extensive experience in the event industry having worked her way up to Head of Operations at the global professional conference organisation, Worldwide Business Research. Prior to this, Jade started within sales and planning for hotel hospitality. Jade obtained her Event Management BA Hons at University of Hertfordshire.
HINA CHOKSY EVANS
Managing Director
Hina is Managing Director at LaingBuisson and leads on research, economic modelling and policy strategy. Hina began her career in academia as a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge and as a senior research fellow at the London Business School. Subsequently, she was head-hunted by Goldman Sachs International to develop their global exchange rate model. Hina has also worked extensively with Central Government on high-profile projects such as net-zero transport, Brexit, COVID-19 and Financed Emissions at the Home Office, UKEF, DfT, DCMS and UKHSA. Hina ran her own global research consultancy for over 14 years working with International FTSE100 clients.
JOE FOLEY
Database Manager
Joe is the Database Manager for LaingBuisson. He leads the Data Team and is responsible for the processing of all incoming data into the company’s Data Warehouse. In addition to this, he assists with the development of internal systems to ensure they meet the needs of the business, as well as outgoing data for various LaingBuisson products. Joe has a First-Class Honours in Computing & Website Development with a focus on Database Theory and Internet Applications. He joined LaingBuisson in 2022 after working in the Higher Education sector for 12 years.

Group Editor
Jenny is Group Editor for LaingBuisson’s business journals, HealthcareMarkets UK, Healthcare Markets international and CareMarkets UK. She is also the Managing Editor for the International Medical Travel Journal (IMTJ). Jenny is a marketing communications consultant with 15+ years business to business experience in healthcare, medical tourism and international patient business, legal, education, IT and voluntary sectors. She was Editor of the award-winning bimonthly member magazine for the National Pharmacy Association, and has worked in various marketing communications and research roles for advisory firms and consultancies.

Adrian Murdoch has more than 25 years’ experience as an international journalist. He started his career at World Link, the magazine of the World Economic Forum. He covered debt capital markets for Reuters in Singapore throughout the Asian Financial Crisis, and then the European Central Bank in Frankfurt. As a freelancer he has worked for Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Euromoney, the Scotsman and the BBC. The author of a number of books on the classical world, Adrian has written and presented documentaries for Netflix, the History Channel and PBS. He has been covering healthcare markets in Southeast Asia for the past four years.

Maria has more than two decades’ experience as a business and financial journalist. She has specialised in writing about the UK’s private and voluntary healthcare sector for the last 15 years. Titles he has reported and edited on include Law Society Gazette, Harpers Wine and Spirit, and Health Club Management. Charlotte is a Non-Executive Director of LaingBuisson. She is Head of Executive Share Plans at RELX Group, the FTSE 100 global information analytics business that helps institutions and professionals advance healthcare through its Scientific, Technical & Medical business. Charlotte was a solicitor for 17 years and a partner focused on corporate and personal tax at Speechly Bircham, now Charles Russell Speechly. She has a MA in Modern History from the University of Oxford.
STEPHEN DORRELL
Non-Executive Director
Stephen is a Director of Four Eyes Insight, Seacole Digital, Omnes Group, Public Policy Projects, Dorson Inform, Dorson Transform, Faithful Group and Artemis Publishing. In addition, he is a trustee of Place2Be, a national charity focussed on children’s mental health and well-being, and the former Chair of the NHS Confederation. Stephen was a Member of Parliament for 36 years serving as Secretary of State for Health from 1995 to 1997 and the first elected chair of the House of Commons Health Committee between 2010 and 2014.

William is the Founder and Executive Chairman of LaingBuisson, leading the development of the business with a particular focus on its data capabilities. He is also a Director of Seacole Digital. William is a well-known healthcare economist and a leading commentator on healthcare and social care and his views are often quoted in the media and he frequently speaks at conferences and participates in policy think tanks. Before founding LaingBuisson in 1976, William worked for the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry and the Office of Health Economics where he was Deputy Director. He has a BSc Econ from the London School of Economics..

Sarah is the Commercial Director for LaingBuisson. She leads on marketing and business development, corporate and consumer website strategy, and is responsible for the delivery of our events business. Sarah started her career in website development and account management with the specialist healthcare digital media agency Acumen Solutions, before moving to an Associate Director role at em:seven, a communication agency specialising in e-media and events within the healthcare sector. She joined LaingBuisson in 2011 after running her own consulting firm for 10 years.
